What good is quality writing if no one reads it? —
Each year we receive more than 30,000 compositions, stories and poems from students in all parts of the nation. Our staff sorts through those manuscripts and about 3,000 of them make their way into print. We are committed to publishing at least one submission from each subscribing school.

Started in 1984 by a high school English teacher, Writer Publications produces three newspapers: the Elementary School Writer, the Junior High School Writer, and the Senior High School Writer. Whether you use The Writer as a reading supplement only or as a motivational tool for young authors, we think you'll agree it's a valuable resource for your classroom.
